ABOUT COLLIDEOSCOPE
Collideoscope started January of 2018 out of Hicksville, NY. The band was named under the idea that different sub genres of rock could “collide” together and make something new and enjoyable. The band was started by Matt Nussbaum on vocals, Bill Meyer and Steve Bono on guitars, and Joey Oddo on drums after their previous band had disbanded. The four of them recruited Zach Cohen to play bass.
Months later, Bill left the group. Zach began to play guitar and the band took in Jamie Haughney on bass. The band then began writing and practicing their original music and playing shows in the Long Island, NY area. After a few months, Jamie left the band. In December 2018, Collideoscope took in Ryan Gaetan on bass. The band has just released their debut EP and continues to play show around Long Island, NY.

Q&A WITH THE BAND
Who are your biggest influences?
Queen, A Day To Remember, Shinedown, Reel Big Fish
What makes Collideoscope so unique?
"The band plays music that has different genres mixing together, making it unique."- Ryan, Bassist
How would you describe Collideoscope's sound?
"Every song is different. Our harder songs have a more metal and alternative rock feel to them, while the softer sounding songs have a punk vibe. There’s a song for everyone." -Zach, Guitarist
What is the Songwriting process like for Collideoscope?
"The writing process is very collaborative amongst the band. We send each other ideas and give feedback on them with suggestions that could fit potential songs. Everyone has a say in what songs we keep or get rid of. If a song is not liked by 100% of the band, we either fix it, or move on to something else. We all know as a band that not every song is going to work for an album." -Joey, Drummer
What’s your favorite part of being in Collideoscope?
"My favorite part of being in Collideoscope is the freedom we have when writing. Because the band isn't limited to one genre, we're free to take on any genre of rock or metal that we feel like. Sometimes even combining them into one song. When it comes to writing, the sky's the limit, and that's easily my favorite part of being in the band." -Steve, Guitarist
What’s next for the band?
"We just finished writing all the songs for our debut album. We will soon come up with a name for the album and begin recording. In the meantime, we’ll continue to play live shows wherever and whenever possible." -Matt, Vocalist

WHAT'S IT LIKE BEING IN COLLIDEOSCOPE?
Matt: "Collideoscope is more than a band. It’s a tiny family. All of our personalities are so different but it works so well. We’ll joke around with each other and hang out outside of band practice. And all of that brings us that much closer, which in turn strengthens the bond we have as not only bandmates, but friends."
Steve: "Being in Collideoscope is a great experience. We all have different musical tastes, which effects the style of songs we write. But despite these differences everything is a collaborative effort. We all work together to make the best possible outcome for our music. And I wouldn't have that any other way."
Zach: "It’s fun, but productive. Even when we mess around we still get stuff done. To be able to play music with some of my best friends is a dream come true."
Ryan: "Being in Collideoscope, for me, is a lot of fun. Everyone is very relatable. We all have similar humor and interests."
Joey: "Being in this band is one of the most fun experiences of my life. I get to make music and play shows with some of my best friends. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I cant wait to see what the future holds for this group."
